Tattoo policies & terms

Every deposit made to book a tattoo appointment is NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances. The deposit exclusively reserves a date and time that is no longer available to other clients.

If the client does not show up for the scheduled appointment, arrives too late, or the procedure cannot be performed for a reason attributable to the client, the deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to book another date.

TOBO Tattoo reserves the right not to perform the procedure if the client arrives under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or any substance that may compromise their ability to consent, safety, bleeding, physical response or healing process.

In these cases, the appointment will be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded.

Before the session, the client must inform the artist of any relevant medical condition, including but not limited to:

• Diabetes
• Blood-clotting disorders
• Heart conditions
• Compromised immune system
• Allergies
• Skin conditions
• Use of blood thinners or other relevant medications
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Any illness or medical treatment that may affect healing

Depending on the condition, TOBO Tattoo may request medical clearance before performing the procedure.

Withholding relevant medical information may increase the risk of complications.

The final result of a tattoo depends on both the artist's work and the client's aftercare.

50% is the execution of the tattoo. 50% is the healing and the care provided by the client.

The artist may perform the procedure correctly, but the final result also depends on following the aftercare instructions.

During the healing process:

• Keep the tattoo clean.
• Wash it gently according to the artist's instructions.
• Avoid very hot water directly on the tattoo.
• Do not submerge the tattoo in pools, hot tubs, lakes, rivers, the ocean or bathtubs for the period indicated by the artist.
• Avoid direct and prolonged sun exposure.
• Do not scratch, pick scabs or peel skin.
• Use only the recommended products.
• Apply ointment in a thin layer if instructed.
• Stay well hydrated and drink enough water.
• Avoid excessive friction, very tight clothing or activities that irritate the area while healing.

Showering normally is fine, but the tattoo should not stay submerged or be exposed to water for long periods.

During the first hours or days it can be normal to experience:

• Mild to moderate tenderness or pain
• Slight swelling
• Localized redness
• Mild warmth
• A small amount of plasma, ink or blood
• Itching while healing
• Skin flaking
• Mild tiredness or dizziness after a session, especially after long sessions

These symptoms should normally improve progressively.

The client should contact the artist and seek medical care when appropriate if they experience:

• Severe pain or pain that keeps getting worse
• Severe swelling
• Redness that keeps spreading
• Red streaks moving away from the tattoo
• Pus or yellow/green discharge
• Bad odor
• Fever or chills
• Persistent bleeding
• Extensive blistering
• Significant allergic reaction
• Difficulty breathing
• Repeated fainting
• Severe or persistent dizziness
• Any sign of infection

With severe symptoms, the client should seek medical care and not rely only on communication with the artist.

The client acknowledges that tattooing is a procedure that breaks the skin's natural barrier and carries inherent risks, including irritation, allergies, infection, pigmentation changes and variations in healing.

The client agrees to follow all instructions provided by TOBO Tattoo before and after the procedure.
